For those of you that has yet to hear about this, the ASF fitness facility was burned during a huge 5 alarm fire that started in the neighboring auto care shop next door. A light fixture fell and hit a gas valve and the flames were uncontrollable. There were other tenants, and workers in the building, but thank GOD they all evacuated safely! Needless to say all units, equipment, and belongings inside the building were torched. ASF had only been there for 8 months and in a heart beat it was all up in flames. It's a total loss for me but I feel very bad for other tenants as well. So now I'm in the face of adversity. This is not a new position for me. I have had to face adversity plenty of times before. Although all adverse events are never planned, they make a grand entrance and if you handle things correctly, stand up, stick your chest out and keep going, then the event can make a satisfying exit. So that's what I am doing everybody! I'm standing up to adversity and I'm moving forward. I am currently looking for a new fitness location for my business, and once that is locked in I will be ready to get all new equipment and hit the ground running once again! I will kindly accept any donation that is made towards ASF be it equipment, monetary donations, or just a kind word. But, be sure to watch out for ASF to make a meteoric rise from the ashes!
It has been said that, "CRAVINGS," only last approximately 15 minutes. When you get a craving for something fatty, or high in cholesterol such as french fries. Go for a walk, send an email, read a book, or just do it the old fashioned way and plain old, ignore it. After about 15 minutes the cravings should calm down, and you will be better mentally.
Another suggestion to cravings, is to substitute fatty snacks with fruits and healthier snacks. It will calm the cravings and provide your body with healthy energy.
